You are a Licensed Therapist who's registered with California BBS. You're a team player who enjoys sharing your knowledge with peers, and you have a genuine interest in working with adolescents in a residential treatment setting. If that describes you, this role offers some compelling advantages. You will:
  • Support an outstanding, supportive team that focuses on high-quality client care.
  • Focus on what you do best with a reasonable caseload, including individual and group sessions. You'll have flexibility in scheduling sessions.
  • Work at one or both of our attractive facilities with beautiful, resort-like settings. You'll enjoy chef-prepared lunches as well as available snacks and coffee.
​This is a part-time or per diem Independent Contractor role. You'll be supporting clients at either our Agoura Hills or Malibu adolescent residential facilities. The pay range is up to $150 per session, depending upon your experience.

Beachside Teen Treatment Center is a tranquil, rehabilitation haven for adolescents struggling with addiction, substance abuse and co-occurring mental health disorders. Our beautiful residential facility is based in Malibu, California, with panoramic views of the Pacific Ocean. 

At Hillcrest Adolescent Treatment Center, our mission is to provide healing resources for adolescents battling substance abuse with co-occurring mental health disorders. Hillcrest’s rustic but elegant homestead is set in the lush foothills of Agoura Hills. This rural estate is both private and peaceful, making it an ideal enclave for rehabilitation and healing.

To be a good fit for the Licensed Therapy opportunity, you will have:
  • Must have one of the following: LMFT or LCSW, and registration with California BBS is required 
  • A genuine desire to work with the adolescent population we serve.  
  • Understanding of counseling and other treatment procedures for mental health disorders with co-occurring substance abuse issues.
  • Computer proficiency; experience with documentation and Kipu EMR systems desired.
  • Exceptional interpersonal skills and service orientation.
  • Strong written and verbal skills.
  • Solid organizational and prioritization abilities.

You will work with the Executive Director and medical staff in the assessment of client needs, treatment planning, and facilitation. You'll advocate for options and services to meet an individual’s mental and physical health needs through communication and available resources to promote quality cost-effective outcomes.  

You'll manage a reasonable caseload (determined by you) and be responsible for providing individual and group therapy sessions at each location every week. Other responsibilities include:
  • Working as part of a multidisciplinary team to provide
  • quality care to clientele, ensuring safety and best practices. 
  • Ensuring excellent clinical care is provided in individual and group therapy and documented for all clients.
  • Consistently communicating and reporting the needs of the clients to the Executive Director.
  • Effectively interacting/communicating with all clinical and non-clinical departments coordinating care for clients.
  • Ensuring the timely completion of clinical documentation (notes must be done in 24 hours, including assessments, treatment plans, progress notes, group notes, discharge plans.
  • Facilitating comprehensive evaluations and diagnostic assessments upon admission for clients.
  • And more.
